Another Change!

If you're following this blog, you must be getting tired of these changes :)

We're going to hop on board of HEFY-- Humanitarian Experiences for Youth. It's relatively cheap, already planned, and comes with 2 weeks of solid service!

What group doesn't have their own t-shirt design?

We have ordered shirts, and will be selling them at events, or directly to you, if you have a way for us to get it to you :).

This is such a cool experience!

News on the Carwash

Our carwash/lemonade stand was a success! We joined up with another youth group heading to Africa, and had a great time.
Proceeds are going towards the tickets of those who helped, and to the expenses of the next fundraiser (the Food Festival!)

Festive Food Fundraiser!!

 To raise the money for books, humanitarian kits, and such, we're going to have a FOOD FESTIVAL!! Come for an delicious night of comedy, African food, a bouncehouse, and more!!

*Probable date and time are either July 12 or 14 (Sat or Mon), from 5-8pm.
*Probably location is the Layton Commons. (this will be updated in a day or two with definites :))
*Price for tickets are $7-Adults, $5- Kids, $30--Families. Tickets cover dinner, plus an extra one to spend at the booth of your choice. More tickets will be available for purchase during the festivities.

Did you know that Ethiopia was one of the first Christian countries in the world?
Now, it is listed as one of the poorest countries in the world.
So what are we going to do about it?

We, as youth and leaders, decided that we were going to go over there, and help touch lives.
